Ingredients


  • 6-7 apples (5-6 cups), peeled, cored and sliced
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup (75g) light margarine, melted
  • 3/4 cup (169g) sugar
  • 1 cup (140g) whole wheat (or white) flour
  • 1/2 cup or 4 egg whites

Method


  1. Place sliced apples into pie plate.
  2. Mix sugar and cinnamon in small bowl.
  3. Sprinkle this mixture over apples.
  4. In a medium bowl, mix remaining ingredients.
  5. Pour this thick and creamy mixture over apples as evenly as possible.
  6. Bake at 350°F (176°C) for 1 hour or until golden brown.
